MiBitz uses a worldwide technology standard called QR Codes

A QR Code (or Quick Response Code) is a two dimensional barcode that can be scanned from most mobile phones by installing a simple scanning application (i-nigma) onto your handset.

QR Codes are an easy way of opening a mobile internet page without the hassle of typing long web addresses into your phone, while other QR Codes can hold things like contact details that you can add directly to your phone with having to enter it manually (perfect for business cards).

You can simply open the Scan Code Reader once installed on your phone and hold the camera of the phone in front of the QR Code until it scans and the web address appears on your phone. It’s that Simple!

How do I get the Scan Code Reader on my phone? – Open a web browser on your phone and type in the address www.mibitz.com/reader and then select “go” on your phone.

The browser will direct you to our MiBitz mobile website and you will see “Get QR Code Reader NOW”. Click the link and you will be directed to a site to install your reader and just follow the prompts

Most handsets in the market today are compatible with the reader; however you should note that each handset type may install the reader with different processes, so let your phone guide you through the installation process. e.g. Nokia owners will find the application is installed easily and is saved to the “Installations” folder on the phone, while an iPhone user will be prompted to use their iTunes account to download the free application.
